Much of Tamil grammar is thoroughly described within the oldest known grammar e book for Tamil, the Tolk?ppiyam. Fashionable Tamil composing is essentially determined by the thirteenth-century grammar Na???l which restated and clarified the rules from the Tolk?ppiyam, with some modifications. For
